March 5, 2024 - Concentration of dark fruits with extraordinary length. Great balance. Great wine. Served as a surprise addition during a Pichon Comtesse masterclass.

October 12, 2023 - rich deep purple color, sweet plum and cherry on the nose, very fruit driven, minimal herb notes, on the palate a joyous and buttery fruit that immediately reminded me of how the 1995 was at release, as with the nose- the palate is heavily fruit dominated, black plums, cassis, cherries, perfect ripeness, rounded, very good length, I have not been enamored of the oak levels and concentration here in vintages like 2014- but in 2020 the sheer power of the fruit is making for a good overall balance more akin to the past.

August 21, 2023 - Concentrated, deep, creamy, supple, long, and intense, the wine is packed with notes of flowers, spice, chocolate, black cherries, plums, porcini, tobacco leaf, and white pepper. On the palate, there is a minor degree of heat, but the ample layers of perfectly, ripe, sweet, rich fruit are really what you notice as they roll onto your tongue and coat your palate. The wine has a serious depth of flavor, length, and endless waves of black with dark red fruits, finishing with a touch of chalky, crushed rocks in the endnote. The wine blends 42.8% Merlot, 39.7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17.5% Cabernet Franc, 15% ABV. Drink from 2030-2060.

June 23, 2021 - For the sake of honesty, I put my exact notes, written before the commercial releases but I do not put any comments on the wines whose price has exploded monstrously for no valid reason. Personally, I continue to buy much cheaper 2019s or much better 2016s.

May 22, 2021 - 97-100 vvPunkte (42.8% Merlot, 39.7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17.5% Cabernet Franc, 15% Alkohol) Tiefgründig, komplex, viele Kräuter, reife Kirschen, schwarze Johannisbeeren, sehr schöne Frucht, darüber Veilchen, getrocknete Rosen, etwas Zedernholz. 2028-2050+ (April/Mai 2021) vvWine.ch
