March 10, 2024 - Consistently excellent. I tapped into this bottle four times since August ‘23. Lush cassis cabernet aromas on the nose and then the cherry berry flavors from the merlot on the palette. A nearly 50/50 blend Worth seeking out A fine value.

November 23, 2023 - Dark reddish purple in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blackberries & cassis with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes, espresso, cocoa, tobacco, leather, spices, minerals, & a hint of oak/vanilla in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blackberries & cassis with herbs, minerals, spices & a hint of vanilla/oak. Lingering finish. Drink well at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging. A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc.

June 27, 2023 - From 0.75l bottle, 14% Alc., deep purple red color. Consumed over two days with pretty much same impression.

    Nose: Diffuse, blueberry, minty, wood.

Palate: This is all about structure and not about charm. Cool initial taste, a wall of wood, carpet of tannins, bitterness, astringent, behind this some good and clear violett fruit.

Of course, the wine has potential when everything is better integrated and the very dominant wood flavors have come down. Drinking pleasure at the moment about 88 Pts.

June 17, 2023 - This was from 375ml, decanted for a few hours and followed over 2 nights. It had some very primary dark grape and berry aromas with toasty new oak that needs a bit of time to integrate. Well made if a bit generic and boring at this point. A modern style of BDX for sure. Not one to stock up on for me.

March 21, 2023 - Dark in color, the wine shows its blackberry, black cherry, dark chocolate, smoke, espresso, and an array of spice aromas on the palate with ease. Rich, full-bodied, vibrant, and intense. the wine is fresh as well as lush, and polished. Vibrant, expansive, creamy, and deep, this is going to rival many of the best vintages produced here. Drink from 2025-2048.
