February 12, 2024 - With dark fruits and a lot of pepper in there, this is about as good a Puygueraud as I can recall, and a very good QPR for sure. A little harsh and one-dimensional at present but it will smooth out with 5 years in the cellar, It already drinks well with some air and food, in a hearty sort of style. Rating: 89+

July 4, 2023 - From 0.375l bottle, PnP, 14.5% Alc., diam cork, dark ruby color.

    Nose: Diffuse reduced violet fruit.

Palate: Soft mouthfeel, licorice, mild acidity, soft and juicy, diffuse hints of violet fruit, not bad, for easy and early drinking.

About 15 €/btl, there are definitely occasions where that style of wine is exactly the right one.

March 21, 2023 - Spearmint, tobacco leaf, cedar and red fruits create the perfume. On the palate, the wine offers is core of sweet, ripe, dark red fruits, freshness, minerality and ripe tannins with ease. Drink from 2023-2035.

June 21, 2021 - Rauchiges Bukett mit reifer Pflaumenfrucht. Süße Gewürze und etwas Vanille. Etwas feuchte Erde. Sehr gute Reife. Üppiger Geschmack mit supersaftigem Fruchtkern. Mild, fast cremig. Zupackende Frische und griffige Gerbstoffe. Bleibt lang mit schokoladiger Creme. Dunkelfruchtiger als Marsau und dicker. Beide sind top! 90-92

May 20, 2021 - Dark red berries with hints of blue fruit, crushed rocks and cocoa define the nose. On the palate, the wine is fresh, earthy, savory and plummy with spicy undertones in the mineral-driven finish. Things keep getting better and better every year. 91-93
