  January 4, 2023 - I was pretty disappointed with this wine, expectations were high. However, the nose was really really shy and never really ever developed into much. There was some raspberry and a little hint of spice but ultimately it was pretty one-dimensional. The drink was super linear and sort of fell flat, and the finish was practically vapid. I was pretty surprised based on the pedigree of the producer. I postulated that perhaps I had a bad bottle for whatever reason even though it didn't necessarily smell or taste corked. It was just so muted that it felt like something was wrong.
  This was my first experience with a Lillian Grenache so I don't know if that's house style here. I just can't really come up with any other descriptor other than boring. Oh well.
