February 16, 2023 - A prominent mint note initially followed by candied cherry, pine and pepper. Significant tannins. Comes across as still developing. Unique flavor profile with a slight edge towards cough medicine. Interesting- not sure where it will go. Love Bedrock, but the jury is still out on this one which is rare. I would hold for at least 3-5 years.
Day 2 update. The cough medicine notes are gone. It now comes across as almost a Petite Sirah. Big and dark. I would suggest letting these sit.2 people found this helpful Comment -

January 24, 2023 - This was a new Bedrock wine for me and Morgan’s allocation letter description was right up my alley. This was one hell of a wine. A real teeth stainer. The depth of flavor and length of finish were remarkable. Surely a vineyard not to be passed on in future vintages.

June 14, 2022 - Potent red. Acidity, tannin and alcohol all there. Alcohol slightly dominates right now. Long finish. Corn husk tea nuance. Slightly medicinal. Give this more time to come together. 93+

December 27, 2021 - Very nice. Great depth and a touch of spice. Medium plus finish. Dark fruit throughout.

Dark purple color.
Had a slight cheesy note on first opening that blew off with exposure to air. Then showed blackberry and dark fruits with a white pepper floral note.
Good rich wine. Acidity present to give this lift.
This reminded me of many other Bedrock Heritage wines, although the field blend contains no zinfandel. Dark fruited, with good acidity and balance, and a nice savory herbal and pepper note adding spice to the dark fruit profile.
Field blend of Syrah, Petite Sirah, Peloursin, Trousseau Noir and Grenache.1 person found this helpful Comment
