April 25, 2024 - This took a full hour of near continuous decantations to come around. Finally revealing aromas of eucalyptus, blackberry, toasty, new oak, cedar, culinary herb scents and red currants. Quite rich and full-bodied, loaded with sweet red cherries and currants, toasted oak, hot gravel and some brooding black fruits and soil. This has a corpulent frame supported on a scaffold of layered tannins and brisk acidity. This will benefit from another 2-3 years in the cellar to open and shed some tannin and should reach age 15+ in fine shape. 91
