March 1, 2024 - Chianti and homemade pizza night. This was more accessible than the 2018. Aromas of black cherry, dried herbs, iron, and potpourri. Tasted cherry, blackberry, salt, tomato leaf, and oak spice. Medium plus acidity and finish. Great deal at the $17.50 price I paid for it..

July 10, 2023 - Blend of 90% Sangiovese, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Merlot. The rich, complex, medium-high intensity nose has perfumed and spicy aromas layered over dark berry, cherry, blackberry, and forest floor with hints of plum, dried herb, dried cherry, and floral adding complexity. It's medium-full bodied and slightly chewy on the palate with elegant, gently grippy tannins and juicy, well-balanced acidity. Lovely dark red cherry, clove, forest floor, and cedary wood spice flavours, plus some tangy notes on the mid-palate. Nicely balanced throughout with savoury forest floor and cocoa notes, plus a touch of mineral lingering on the long, succulent finish. Score: 90+ pts

M+ body, M+ acid, XD, M tannin, high alcohol (14%). Long finish. Very drinkable. Good as a mid-week quaffer, but not memorable. Drink or hold near-term.
