Community Tasting Notes 16

September 26, 2023 - 10 bottles at various times over the past number of months. Not worth posting individual notes as not much changes with this dependable Oregon sparkler. All notes still apply and we will continue to enjoy this in most vintages.

December 18, 2022 - Consistent sparkler showing nose and notes of citrus, white stone fruit, apple and brioche. Clean and crisp.

October 7, 2022 - Third bottle and not much better. The 17 is a bust for Argyle with pear, apple and some dough notes. Light and lacks vibrancy. Roederer Andreson is far superior for about the same price.

October 5, 2022 - Previous notes apply. Nice wine.

October 5, 2022 - Pale yellow color with lots of bubbles. Apple, citrus, stone fruits, crisp and clean. Solid wine, never disappoints.

(Argyle Vintage Brut) Light yellow color with abundant, speedy, tiny bubbles; appealing, white peach, pear, light vanilla, almond nose; tasty, rounded, creamy textured, tart white peach, pear, almond palate with good balancing acidity; medium-plus finish (55% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, 15% Pinot Meunier; fermented in bottle and disgorged “on demand”; 12.5% alcohol; composition sparkling cork) 90+ points
