November 10, 2022 - Easy to grasp, inky purple, scented of blackberry and herbal licorice. Remarkably resilient texture, broad and detailed, produces an unending supply of dry, intrinsic tannin. Jagged, mineral structure is supported by salted tendons. Sage soot. Drink or keep through 2028.

November 1, 2022 - Some dark chocolate fruit to the nose. A touch of mustiness, smells really dark and brooding, if a wine could smell of such a thing. And then a bit tense and hard on the palate as well. It's like its mourvedre. Not sure what this is all about but its distinctive.

May 18, 2022 - A deep opaque purple reflective of a very youthful wine. Black Fruit and mineral flavors with a finish of iodine. Very food friendly. Some sediment. 11-14% alc. With beef New York Strips at C&O and then two nights later with Bailey-Hazen, Stilton, Harbison cheeses. 05.18 & 20.22. Recommended.
