Community Tasting Notes 7

  • Stuart10er Likes this wine:

March 12, 2023 - Dark ruby colored with lots of bell pepper notes on the nose. Taste has very little of that but has a rich, dusty, and tending to a pleasantly bitter black fruit taste. Long finish. Will try next bottle later in its evolution and see if it is any different

January 10, 2023 - Interesting to try Veronese Carmenere. Blueberry, blackberry and dark plums. Vanilla. Lots of texture, a big wine. Delicious now. No sense of terroir for me, so just a nice experiment.

    June 15, 2022 - Deep ruby red.
Mainly fruity at nose: cherries and plums, on a spicy background. Slowly coming out some resinous notes and caramel.
Fresh sip, recurring with fuits and a immature tannin. Nice, a bit hard, notwithstanding the velvety fruit.

January 28, 2022 - Italian Values: Medium ruby color. Lovely, spicy nose of roasted red pepper, rose hips and coffee grounds over top of tangy cherries and raspberries. Medium-bodied and fresh acidity with smooth but structured tannins. Strawberry and cherry fruit, juicy and tangy, mixing well with tobacco, mint, tar and roasted red peppers. Warm, inviting, delicious stuff, this has a spicy appeal that makes me crave a campfire and grilled meats and veg. I love this producer, and this is such a unique wine with a ton of personality. Includes 30% Merlot, aged 12 months in French oak and six months in stainless steel.
