  April 26, 2010 - A balanced pinot with freshness of cherry fruits , some sweetness and touch of dirt. A good entry point for pinot for austria, this is a perfect introduction. Harmless and friendly without being over assuming.

  April 24, 2010 - Black Glass Society - Inaugral Dinner (Ming Kee, Macpherson Road): Very surprisingly nice for an Austrian pinot. Very clear varietal characteristics. It was served in a black-glass, and most people on the table called it a new world pinot almost immediately, with just one or two desenters. Nose showed some vanillin-laced oak, plenty of sweet cherries and a little woody herbal note. Palate was simple, but very well-balanced and nicely poised. A clear note of candied cherries and raspberries somehow marked it out for me as rather more German / Austrian than new world, and there was such a nice freshness to the wine, so that it seemed almost light and nimble in spite of the sweetness of the fruit. A touch of smoky bacon in the background added interest. Mid-length finish showed a touch more oak, more sweet red fruit and a little stalky herb note. All in all, a very decent pinot.

  Vanilla and juicy strawberry at first. Cherry fruit, red currant, clearly discernable banana and some coffee.
  Strawberry and chocolate cominate the palate, high lingonberry acidity with not enough body makes for an unbalanced feeling even as the flavors grow sweeter with some air. I'm getting a slightly unripe feeling from this wine, and although not bad, it is too one-dimensional for me, lacking depth and complexity.
