January 3, 2022 - I suspect I'm drinking this at least 5 years too soon. The flavors are abundant, but the tannins are overwhelming. Given time this wine may well score in the low nineties.

December 13, 2021 - red fruit aromas with some wood and spice; medium bodied with a tannic finish; young-decanted for a couple hours and paired with a cheesy caramelized onion exotic mushroom pizza finished with truffle carpaccio. the truffle and mushroom played nicely with the earth and the onion and cheese tamed the tannins. now what do I tell my cardiologist?
