Community Tasting Notes 4

May 5, 2024 - At Schwarzer Adler in Vogtsburg. Nice fresh herbs and almost spearmint-like notes that add a fresh angle. Traces of petrol. Fruit of green berries, green grapes, gooseberry and kiwi. Good acidity structure, but a bit of a step-down in the mid-palate. Ends with a citric finish. Very early days.

June 19, 2022 - Dr. Burklin-Wolf Tasting (St. Paul, MN): Stone, orchard fruit, candied peaches, slate and really complex wine overall. A standout.

January 15, 2022 - Clearly too young, but I just had to try one. Clear straw on the very light side with brilliant streaks of green. Nose dominated by green apples, lime, lemon, underlined by streaks of salt sea and chalk. Very mineral. Medium bodied attack, lots of fruit up front and on the mid palate: green apples and lime dominates. Wonderful balance, and a fine dry matter feel on the finish boding well for further aging. The aftertaste is extremely salty and chalky, almost like tasting fresh sea water! Very good length, sits for almost a minute. This a beautiful baby at the moment, and on the level of most other producers GGs (as is the price). Keep for at least five more years, then it evolve positively for years after that.
