April 25, 2024 - From 375. A kaleidoscope of explosive aromatics - high toned, earthy, black fruited, dusty road, and with some overt alcohol as well. Palate is likewise complex and shows real pedigree, with fruit that shifts from red to black and back, a mouthful of rocks and warm earth, Asian spice box, and a finish of grippy tannins that are very left bank Bordeaux-like. Despite the density of flavors and structure, there’s real restraint and the wine is very more-ish and dare I say gulpable.

POV, had after a ‘22 Bedrock Papera which just explodes in the mouth and is an exceptional wine.
This one is a bit more pedestrian.
Day 2 is better. A distinctive sage note. Tannins still very present.

February 2, 2024 - Notes of black cherry, cracked pepper, and bramble coalesce throughout, with a pinch of tannins emerging late. Great structure here.
