December 17, 2023 - Drak den med far og Mussi. Fik den efter Brovia og en anden intro Barolo.
Her er der seriøs krop og syre/tannin er selvfølgelig tilstede, men flot lavet.

September 3, 2023 - The ‘17 Francia is again probably the best wine I have tasted from this vintage. It’s surprisingly drinkable for a young Conterno Barolo, but it also seems perfectly balanced for decades of aging.

The nose showed beautiful, ripe fruit and floral tones. I found super sweet, dark red and purplish fruit, fresh red roses, orange peel, menthol, and black tea. On the palate, the wine is medium to full in body with medium plus acid, and an incredible texture with almost no perception at all of tannin. A great achievement for a young Barolo with this level of density, but especially in a vintage like 2017 where tannin quality was hard to achieve. I found the palate a bit more closed than the aromatics, with dark red plum and berry fruit tones, lavender, roses, and black tea.

August 23, 2023 - This is drinking really well. Fruits vacillate between red and black and have a jube-like quality to them. There's rose petals, iron filings and menthol too. It is rich and powerful, but light on its feet. Tannins are chewy and the perfume of the wine keeps deliviring the whole bottle through. Each sip is pleasurable and the wine stays with you a long time after its swallowed.

June 3, 2023 - Black cherry, purple flowers, and minty herbs on the nose. Ripe dark red fruit on the palate, big tannins, good aging potential. The warmth of the vintage comes through, but this is still a great wine. Better in 5-7 years.

April 5, 2023 - The nose is sexy and sensual with a robustness to the tones of raspberries, red cherries, sour red berries, crushed rocks, roasted herbs, mint, licorice, roses, and some violets. There is excellent depth with a real sense of style that draws you in. The Full bodied feel is well balanced but with the robust qualities of the nose. The High acidity is mouthwatering and crisp while the High tannins have some clear youth and a real chewiness. This will certainly benefit from extended aging. While it feels like it will be accessible at an earlier age, it will still need some time before it gets to where it will go.
