April 20, 2024 - Double decanted three hours before service. Opaque red belaying the age of the wine. Lots of tannins. Screams Bordeaux blend on the palate. Dark fruits and tobacco that wants a steak. There must be a lot of bottle variation given the other tasting notes, because this bottle was fantastic.

April 19, 2024 - Friday Group Brown Bag Tasting (EBCC): Double blind. Garnet color. Initially a bit muddled, with time in the glass this really begins to shine with elements of black fruit, plum, dried herbs and mint. Full-bodied, the palate follows the bouquet, adding a nice earthy clay-like quality, finishing with good length. Picks up a subtle blue fruit element as it breathes. 90-92 pts.

Tjis had been double decanted about 3.5 hrs earlier. (J&J)

February 8, 2023 - Beautifully aged..ar or near its peak, needed a 3+ hour decant, but balanced wood/tabacco/earthy--very long finish, great with steak and charred vegetables

December 27, 2022 - Definitely not over the hill for my tastes as others have suggested, in fact drinking far younger than I would have suspected. Ruby colour suggests its age but the nose on this bottle was still very primary, all fruit without any secondary characteristics showing. Blue and black fruit on the palate with a gentle tannic bite. Medium length finish but well made. I do not have any remaining bottles but would hold for at least 2-3 years if I did.
