  September 27, 2022 - Expressive nose of toasty lemon tart, pear with butter and hints of tarragon. Silky texture with fresh acidity running though it’s core from a subtle entry to a powerful mid-palate and gentle finish. Somewhat closed, this needs sometime in the glass for the elements to open up. Lacking the supple complexity and depth of the top Grand Cru Burgundy. Keep this for at least 3 years before tasting it.

  November 28, 2021 - Pale, almost Riesling-like lemon green in the glass. Subtle, Chablis-esque notes - green apple, melon, brioche, cream, hazelnuts. The reduction takes a long time to blow off, so decant this if you can. Lean on the palate, sharp acidity and green fruit. This is not ready for anything right now, but will undoubtedly age beautifully. Give it 2-3 more years just to start blooming.

  September 21, 2021 - 220527: Same bottle and my notes are reconfirmed. Let this glass breathe a little longer to see what came out and the fruit becomes more prevalent. The balance is near perfect even when the wine warms up in the glass.
  
  210921: Way too early of course...but delicious already now.
  Very reductive nose to start with but there is a clear citrus and pear note behind it coupled with a fresh sea breeze. Very racy and pure in the mouth. It moves across the palate with layers and waves of sensations even at this early stage. I have a weak spot for these lean style and crisp Chardonnays. Fantastic balance overall and a very long finish. Just wonder what will become of this with bottle time and when it all comes together...? 94-97p

  August 7, 2021 - I would describe this Penfolds Yattarna Chardonnay as accessible ready to drink full body wine.
  The wine critics nailed this one, and if you get a opportunity to grab a few bottles do it before they’re sold out.
  It’s not a woody Chardonnay but don’t discount this Australian wine.
