November 30, 2019 - "Fruity", she said, again! Also, balanced, dark, exotic, long.

May 7, 2018 - Decanted for two hours prior to drinking, aromas of dry earth, plums, vanilla, and spice- seems a bit new world-style to me, lots of vanilla. In the mouth the wine is full bodied, fruit-forward in style, easy to like and enjoyable to drink. Flavors of plums, vanilla, and fermented tobacco. Well made.

October 21, 2017 - "Fruity" was C's comment. This wine has aged brilliantly - full of sweet dark fruit in waves. Tannins well receded now, but not showing any signs of going over the top. I can't see it getting better from here, but no reason to rush to finish these.

January 9, 2016 - This stunned me with its quality. Tingly complexity. Full bodied. Dark fruit. Super length. Grippy but on the way to being resolved. Far far better than bottles consumed a few years ago. Hoping the difference is time, rather than bottle variation as several bottles remain. I would not have known it as rioja. Oddly, it reminds me of Pegau 03.
