January 30, 2024 - Agree with lamb or game pairing suggested below. I've really enjoyed RC's zins (and pinots, of course) over the years, but this seemed surprisingly syrah-dominant, and was not among my favorites. Certainly not bad, but not likely to order again.

July 5, 2022 - Intense nose of perfume, incense, lavender. and five spice. Racy black cherry drives forward quickly across the tongue, adding minerals, sweet cherries, baking spice, and earth. The finish is gentle tannins with more black cherry along with watermelon candy, black tea, and sassafras. An unusual blend that's fun to drink on its own. Drink or hold.

May 29, 2022 - Lavender, plum, would pair with lamb or game. More subtle flavors faded after an hour or two but what was left was pleasant.
