Community Tasting Notes 2

June 14, 2012 - Began to open up after 10-15 minutes, with notes of sweaty leather, pebbles, and hay; recommended paired with leaner meats.

June 18, 2009 - I managed to source exactly one bottle of this wine. Light red color, this shows like a Pinot Noir and not a Syrah from the Northern Rhone. Very closed on the get-go, not showing much on the nose. With air, dark, pebbly fruit in a very restrained style with white pepper and some rusticity. Opens up with more air. The fruit is nowhere as abundant as in the 2006 Crozes from Graillot tasted a while back. This is in need of time. A more refined, subtle Crozes. I am not overwhelmed, wish I had a few more bottles I could follow over say 5 years.
