October 8, 2019 - Last bottle I opened was dead. This one was alive and kicking. One of the best bottles of Carlisle I've had, and I've had a lot. Not sure all bottles will be the same though, like I said, last one was toast.

March 11, 2013 - clear, maroon, in color. dark black fruit, cedar, caramel, on the nose. salt, pepper, vanilla, oak, toast, smoke, blackberry, on the palate. low-medium acid, medium tannins, on the finish.

August 21, 2010 - One of my least favorite Carlisles but a decent QPR. Joan on the other hand liked it.

January 6, 2010 - Another impressive showing. This wine is in a great spot. Similar notes as last time with a little more of a Rhone profile. A great Cali Rhone. Too bad it was my last bottle.

December 19, 2009 - Quick TN. The grenache predominated but the mouvedre gave it some mild funk with the syrah filling it out. Drinking very well - no noticeable heat.
