Community Tasting Notes 2

January 15, 2023 - Spanish fun day two (N&J's place, Canberra): From Coravin. Slightly corky (?) rocky minerality, sour smelling black fruits and Ribena, a little savoury spice, slight raspberry underpin, earthy. That slightly cork taint note on the palate, more in the sour red fruit spectrum, cherry, chalky tannins with a mineral underpin, handles it's alcohol well.

August 28, 2021 - TSA - Priorat; 8/28/2021-8/29/2021 (Zoom call): From Coravin. Savoury, spicy, black and red berries, a little oak and a sense of freshness. Rocky minerality and garrigue back this up on the nose. In the mouth there is medium plus acidity that reinforces that sense of freshness, again tannins are tight and drying but softly textured and persistent. Mineral over fruit but fruit is present. Lovely.
