April 17, 2024 - This was really quite good. Med body, nice balanced fruit (blackberry, maybe some raspberry), smokiness. Never had a chambourcin before, but drinking very nicely although did improve with a bit of air.

March 4, 2024 - 91+ definitely a big step up from the non-reserve. Richer more concentrated more flavorful more body. And the regular is lighter and fruitier and this is more dense and serious. Unfortunately this is a case we're giving a number score really fails because they both are outstanding ones and all the scores of the same the reserve is definitely Superior in its own right but the regular is just so delicious and open. Medium dark Ruby color. Bouquet of spice, leather, minerals, hints and pepper and herbs. Once again tasting like a old world Pinot Noir. Medium-bodied with excellent concentration and beautiful balance. Good strong fruit with some nice tannins and acidity but it's all well integrated so drinks well now but has the ability to age for a few more years at least. I would not push it because it's just so enjoyable now and I do not know how well this varietal ages. Concentrated flavors of dark berries, blackberry, strawberry, raspberry, minerals, spice and hints of herbs with a nice long finish. Outstanding qpr. A must try. Brother to this Winery for doing something different and successfully. So far everyone I have tasted from this Winery has been well made.

Had the small amount left 24 hours later and it was still showing well. Not much change from the night before after it had opened up
