January 17, 2009 - Had it with a friend at Osteria, a restaurant in Le Marais in Paris. It was smooth, quite fruity with a sweet bouquet.

October 12, 2008 - Terribly un-exciting Chianti Classico even after giving it a long time in the decanter. The structure is there and the acidity but the fruit is frankly rather boring and insipid. Got a little better with food but enjoyed the basic Leonardo Chianti far more and was about £5 cheaper!!

March 17, 2008 - It's fine, but I really had my hopes up for this one.

April 2009 (link)(Badia a Coltibuono Chianti Classico) Aromas of black cherry, fennel, charcoal, dried mint, and herbs are followed by firm red fruits, cherry pit, licorice, and undercurrents of fresh and dried herbs on the palate. The long finish is driven by lively acidity and herbal notes, balanced by fresh fruits, pungent herbs, and charcoal. Hot Picks

August 2008 (link)(Badia a Coltibuono Chianti Classico) This bright-ruby blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Canaiolo has aromas of cherry cola, lavender, lily, cedar, and smoked almonds. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with ripe, luscious cherry fruit, gripping tannins, and zesty acidity. Made with 100% certified-organic grapes. Special Report: Chianti Classico
