March 27, 2024 - Popped and poured, 57 F. Light ruby color. Aromatic nose of fresh red cherry, strawberry, earthy herbal and floral notes. Well integrated oak and alcohol, lively lovely acidity. Silky tannins with just a bit of grip. Cranberry and sweet bing cherry fruit on the palate, raspberry, spicy oak, clove, mineral and cedar notes on the palate. Long, lingering finish. Perhaps heresy, but, while not as elegant as the 2014 Cantina del Pino Ovello Barbaresco I had a few days ago, I enjoyed this very quaffable wine much more. Just entering its drinking window, looking forward to see how this develops over the next few years. Great QPR.

February 19, 2024 - cherry, cranberry, slight spicy oak, nice high acid. Seems like it is just at the start of its drinking window and could last several more years.

October 31, 2023 - From 75cl, DIAM closure, decanted 1 hour, but best (most expressive, herbal, junior-Barolo-like) directly after opening. With more air, it became soft, medium-bodied, on the sweet side (for a Langhe Nebbiolo); a delicious, friendly table wine with no complications or pretentions. 88P
