Community Tasting Notes 8

May 3, 2023 - Blind.Faith ‘Badass Barbera’ tasting. Wine 8 Tasted blind. Much darker and more purple than the other wines in the tasting. Lovely nose, dominated by cherry but a celery and tomato juice character comes through with time in the glass. It’s quite big and toasty on the palate, creamy texture with a nice depth of fruit. Big toasty finish. Very good but felt very different from the other wines.

January 3, 2022 - Wonderfully acidic, like a cherry warhead, medium body, smooth and surprisingly long finish. Pairs wonderfully with New Years’ collard greens

February 10, 2021 - Medium ruby with a rosy pink hue. Pink floral aromas, with tart sour cherry. Tart acids, aour cherry flavours and florals. Medium finish, and fairly straightforward

January 24, 2021 - Ripe Black Cherries, raspberries, red plums. Vanilla, tobacco, espresso, fresh herbs chocolate. Feels oakier on the first few sips than it really is. And, despite the oak, the acidity is pretty lively. This is a well balanced Nizza that will benefit from a few more years in the bottle.
