November 11, 2023 - A new vintage of this consistently intriguing wine, I have reviewed most vintages of this Sauv- Sem since the 2011 vintage....a perennial favourite.
On nose: after a 2 hour decant, notes of faint petrol, new oak resin and lemon oil.
On palate: all above flavour notes enhanced, with ripe quince, grapefruit, tarragon, thyme and a ghost of ripe honeydew ....all displayed on a full , succulent body, balanced with firm acidity....still very young, at 3 years of age, but showing promise....went well with wild sockeye Salmon , potato salad and green beans , this evening.
