  from the single 2.75 ha Falcoeira "A Capilla" vineyard in Sana Cruz,
  Ladeiras do Bibei (Valdeorras) with south-facing narrow, vertiginous
  terraces on steep slopes at 400-600 m with poor and coarse
  granitic soils and old bush vines organically farmed.
  Manual harvest in boxes.
  Fermented in oak vats with indigenous yeasts.
  Aged in 2,000-liter oak foudre.
  Minimal sulfur at bottling.
  13% Abv. 1,200 bottles + 50 magnums

  May 11, 2022 - First time with the field blend A Capilla- stunning. Ruby red and translucent in the glass. Nose brings mix of red and black forest fruits, spice and herbs. Palate is sublime, medium-bodied, lively acidity, great juice with flavours as per above. Soft tannins. Finishes on a juicy, fruit-forward note. If only I had a few more bottles…
