  November 22, 2020 - Medium bright gold, aging going on here; nutty, alcohol levels up after the Oregon Chards, raw alcohol notes, slight bitter finish, disjointed IMHO. I didn't like it, I think it fell apart probably 5 years ago.
  This made 3rd place in the group but for me placed 2nd to last.
  Curious.

Allereerst :een compleet assortiment van overrijp fruit zoals ananas, banaan en mango. Maar ook boenwas en kaarsvet. Gebrande (beuken) nootjes, kaneel. Smaak / Afdronk: Ook in de mond is deze wijn prachtig complex. Bij de juiste serveertemperatuur is het zuurgehalte meer dan voldoende. Geweldig mooie balans. Filmend mondgevoel. Retronasale indrukken van overrijpe mango, boenwas, kaneel en verfijnd hout. Indrukwekkend lange afdronk. Algemeen / potentieel: In het verleden werd er gestreden of Napa-Chardonnay kon concurreren met de hoogste Bourgognes uit de Côte d'Or. Wat mij betreft is deze strijd beslist. De mooiste Chardonnays van de wereld zijn afkomstig uit de Bourgogne èn uit Californië, beiden met een eigen karakter. Kistler behoort tot de beste producenten van Napa-Chardonnays met een indrukwekkend rijpingspotentieel. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 13 + Smaak / Afdronk: 18 + Algemeen / potentieel: 9 = 95/100
