January 2, 2023 - Decanted. Now 3.5h after decant. Aromas of ripe blackberries and cherries, herbs, roasted game meats, olives, and a bit of garrigue. Palate w dark black cherries, ripe blackberries, olives, brambles, roasted meats, herbs, bark and earth. Full bodied w nice acids. Medium+ tannins. Rich but balanced w some elegance. Nice balance. Young for sure but all the elements are here for a beautiful wine in 10-15 yrs. Excited to see how this turns out. 91+

The wine shows medium intensity, earthy, spicy, cinnamon, ripe to dried red cherry, berries, oak, cove, licorice, warmth and pot pouri.
The palate shows light body, earth, balsamic notes, medium acidity, drying tannins, alcohol heat despite being low (12.5%), a touch aggressive as it is
