July 21, 2022 - From an auction magnum for $90 won this month, nose of black cherry, black berry, plum, and hints of dusty, dry earth, same on the palate, at peak but will hold in this format another 4 years, almost very tasty, medium/big body and a tasty, long finish, enjoyed and showed well over 3 nights.

It seems that this bottle has dried out, as there is only a mouthful of oak spice and oak tannin with very little fruit left to support it. This must've been an absolute oak monster in its youth. A good example, I think, of an early drinker Napa Cabernet, cause this is a wreck at the 15+ year mark. Agree with LOREN SONKIN's note from 2014 - this is just over-oaked.

March 12, 2016 - Glad this is my last one of these. Not at all worth the price paid. Worked it's way up to OK after being open for 3 hours.

September 1, 2014 - A Labor of Love (and wine and beer) (Our home): I was told this was corked. I don't think so, so I assume it was just quite dusty when opened. By the time I got to it, it was nice. The nose is very dusty (Rutherford?) with cherries and some heavy use of oak. It does have a great texture. The palate also shows some oak but also some nice cherries. A lot of oak/heat on the finish. Some will love this wine more than I. For me, it just is over oaked. It is s till a very good wine, but perhaps it might have been even better. I doubt the fruit outlasts the oak.
