May 13, 2024 - Notes from memory. Lovely and rich with good black and blue fruit and cinnamon spices. Big enough frame and refined tannins, this is drinking well now but will be best 2025-2032. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 91.

February 25, 2024 - 91-92. Lovely rich pinot noir. It doesn’t have acidity. I sometime find that a sign of imbalance but in this case, it didn’t bother me. Really excellent.

October 13, 2023 - Classic SB pinot to show off to friends. Tasting a little tighter and not as vibrant as previous vintages. Lots of cherry, splash of cola, but left feeling like I wanted a little more acidity. Very mellow.

September 2, 2023 - Tasted blind, don’t think this was decanted prior. Medium ruby in the glass. The oak is blasting on the nose, covering up pretty much all the fruit. The palate is a slightly different story, with the ripe fruit showing its face. Solid acidity to back this up. Nice wine, but much riper than I remember it.

July 3, 2023 - Raspberry, dark cherry, toast, herbs, black olive, menthol, black pepper. On the palate, quite spicy and chunky. Medium acid and sweet on the finish. Raspberry, blackberry, and sage on the palate. For my preference, while still enjoyable, this is a little too sweet and lacking a hair of acidity
