    April 27, 2024 - Very nice
Too high-toned sweet on PnP for me, but with a decant this really shows nicely. Great wine with grilled sirloin cap and flank steak. Perfectly ripe Zin.

I've got another of these and want to lay it down, target ~2027

15.2% abv and it handles it easily

    Empty bottle weight: 700g

April 5, 2024 - Bright red color, slightly translucent. Gorgeous, fragrant nose of cherries, raspberries and floral notes. Soft and lovely on the palate, raspberry, cherry, bright spice. Almost grenache-like. Bit of rich blackberry on the mid-palate. Precise, fine tannins, lovely acidity, beautiful balance. Finishes long and mellow with bramble fruits. Drink next 4 to 5 years.

February 15, 2024 - Blind I think I would have figured out it is a zin, but it is definitely a toned down style that I'm guessing was picked earlier or from a cooler site. Popped and poured and the nose was there immediately, with lighter red fruits and some spice. On the palette is where it becomes clear that it is a zin, but with less body and density than I'm used to (I don't intend that as a criticism). This is very easy drinking but if you slow down to pay attention, there is a lot of complexity. First try of this producer and happy I have several more.

January 28, 2023 - 4th Saturday Group (S&J's): Double blind. Opens with an earthy clay note, followed by red berry fruit and dried herbs. Medium-bodied, with bright red berry fruit and a pine sap quality that is intriguing. Medium+ finish. To me this was rather Chateauneuf-like. (J&S)

December 13, 2022 - On entry I get only moderate levels of dark fruit in this not-really-full-bodied wine. There is fruit, here, but it is so pleasant—not a hint of sweetness. Some subtle but warm spicy sensations arrive mid-palate suggesting, more than anything else, cinnamon. Not terribly tannic nor acidic, it is an easy wine to drink, but, if not an infant, it seems like a pre-teenager. I can’t help but wonder what multiple years of aging might do for this wine.
