March 26, 2023 - This was pressed into service straight from the cellar after the failure of a bottle of Volnay. Unlike much Fleurie which lives up to its floral name, this one was much fuller and more serious with backbone, savoury ivy tinged fruit and an earthy and slightly ferrous minerality. Warming in the hands and swirling brought out some charm and extra complexity which suggests that more age or, if served now, more patient preparation and perhaps decanting would be beneficial. Good.

June 16, 2022 - Pnp. Medium ruby colour. The nose is quite herbacious, red fruit. Fresh acidity and quite vegetal tannins. Red cherries ad lots of herbal notes. Fruit is not very prononunced and struggles to cope with the «green» tannins and herbal notes. But still, the acidity keeps it fresh and the fruit emerges better with some air in the glass. Medium aftertaste. My guess is that Brun picked the grapes a bit too early for this one.

April 30, 2022 - I kind of agree with Ozric's note but I wonder if this needs a lot air or if it's just flawed. Haven't had this wine before so not sure what to expect.

April 27, 2022 - Nose: Sharp herbiness, vegetal, stony.

Palate: Dry with unintegrated acidity and some tannin. The same herbiness that is on the nose. Earthy.

Interesting to drink a wine with zero fruit, but one bottle is enough.
