April 16, 2024 - Retail $65. 100% Sangiovese. Quite dark and even brooding in the glass with plum, even plum compote, blackberry jam, a meaty component, almost a smoked brisket. The palate is still quite youthful, even nearly seven years out and the fruit and acidity are in a lovely balance. There are considerable tannins on the finish and while not aggressive, they could use some more bottle time to integrate a bit more. Still, this is a lovely wine. Just short of a Whoa. 92 Points.
