May 25, 2018 - Comparable to the 1993: Soft and pleasant nose, mild brett, and a fresh juicy strawberry. Nose is actually pretty intriguing with florals and licorice. Palate has a big dose of primary black and blue berry fruit flavor with a nicely devolved texture, and even the high alcohol is integrating agreeably here.

December 5, 2012 - Just ok - disappointed after reading all CT reviews. Little enjoyment. Would not buy again. Obviously past its prime.

November 22, 2008 - Spanish Dinner (Denver, CO): Opened 3 hours, not decanted. Another amazing wine that seemed quite young. Bright garnet color, minimal slight rim bricking. A rush of Grenache aromas - fruit, spice, flowers, garrique and earth. Medium weight fruit that was both rich and light on its feet. Fine tannins and good acidity. Complex palate and long interesting aftertaste.

September 17, 2006 - Violet red with no hints brown. Decanted 2.5 hours ahead. Very expressive nose of dark fruits, earth, anise and stones. Palate with layered flavors led by fruit, fills out with great structure with focused acidity, integrated tannins and minerals, leading to a clean balanced finish. Great with food (outperformed a Saxum Broken Stones in this regard). This was my first bottle in 6 years (earlier bottles were not so exciting); a CT TN prompted me to pull one out now. Nice surprise.

August 24, 2006 - Dark, deep purple in color. Brooding nose of black fruits, metled licorice and minerals. The palate is big bodied with tremendous amounts of fruit and tannic structure. However tannins aren't youthfully harsh but soft and frim. A long and focused finish. Unbelievably youthful yet advanced at the same time.
