Community Tasting Notes 7

March 3, 2016 - Feared the worse, especially after my last note but this was a well-balanced surprise. Just on the cusp of being on the wane. Cab Sauv on the nose with a hint of mint and nice fruit still showing. Tannins now well and truly mellowed out, if a little dry on the finish. Has some charm and an elegance for what should be rights be a little over the hill. This bottle at least stands the test of time.

September 30, 2014 - Very Cab Sauv nose: fruit holding up on the nose and complex flavours with a rich mix of fruit and spice. Good balance, acidity and tannins all in balance if over all a little restrained. Little thin on the palate and I tend to agree with other posts a little short on the finish. Drink younger at 5-6 years methinks. Nice, pleasant if a little thin now.

February 27, 2013 - - Ruby color with medium forming legs and aromas of sulfur dioxide, tea and blackberry. It's overly tannic and has flavours of oak with a medium body. Leathery texture with a medium finish - Completely different to 2005 - more like a typical 'Graves' but lacking Body and Fruit already.
Somehow more trustworthy and native than the 2005 vintage (which is developing quite unexpected :)

November 2, 2011 - Muito austero e pouco equilibrado. Final sem interesse especial.

November 1, 2011 - Beautiful red wine. Finesse and understatement, but plenty of flavour there to be discovered. Dark fruits, a hint of oak, some complexity. But this isn't a big, over-extracted wine. It just does what it needs to do without going overboard.
