October 13, 2016 - Another Evening of Lafon in Red and White (Arlequin Wine Merchant, San Francisco): Medium yellow. Pineapple and toasty wood that just dominates the palate. Round fruit but clearly overoaked. The more I went back to it, the more I wondered if the bottle was also slightly corked. At any rate, not very impressive.

August 24, 2014 - if you like your white burg with heavily aged character then the rating would be higher, had at Harvest in Harvard Square, wine was darker than i would have expected and showed significant age with a toasty, smoky but also fruity nose, palate was close to borderline pre-mox'd with a nice balance of citrus, honeysuckle, hint of smoke, sweet richness -- marshmallow bordering on butterscotch, had just enough acid to hold it together but i'm guessing this bottle was better a year ago and would have been a goner if held another year longer

April 21, 2014 - Very nice Meursault probably drinking near peak. Some good texture, and length with a very smooth profile. Minerals, citrus and cream. Neither has tons of energy nor complexity but very nice
