February 24, 2020 - Another lovely elegant bottle. I read complaints that the acidity in 1996 Burgundies remains discouraging. Well, not in this one. It is present but mouth-watering and moreish and a perfect complement to the pure mature pinot fruit and fine minerality. Very good.

December 10, 2017 - I see a couple of TNs here, the latter of which dates from 2008, suggesting that this wine was already fading. Well, 9 years on this bottle wasn't! Medium bodied and elegantly shaped with complex cherry tinged Pinot fruit, just that squirt of lemon typical of 1996, fine minerals, some secondary forest floor development, fresh acidity and residual firmness on a quite long finish. I have two bottles left and will not hurry to drink them up. Very good.
