September 21, 2015 - this wine was showing significant age, color was darkish and there was caramel and a hint of smoke on the palate, nose was fine (and beautiful), but palate wasn't for those who don't like age, rich / smooth / rounded out and aged on the palate, some nice fruit, decent acid, good minerals but the aged character lowered the scores of all at this bridge night

March 10, 2015 - Powerful, rich, elegant and complex, very clean, good minerality with a long finish. My last bottle, always consistently good, even in an off year

June 16, 2014 - Paul Pernot Featured at the Lieu-dit Cru Blind White Burgundy Dinner (L2O - Chicago IL): Served blind to the group, single blind in the flight for me. Still very fresh and vibrant with good ripe fruit character start-to-finish. Great density and power. Tough to say if I preferred this or the Pernot 2000 Pucelles in the next glass.

September 24, 2012 - 2000 Vintage Great White Burgundy Dinner (Boka - Chicago IL): Single blind in a flight of Ramonet and Pernot 2000 Bâtard-Montrachet and Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet. Showing lots of advanced age. Good, but not at the level of previous bottles.

July 14, 2012 - Opened 30 minutes in bottle and drank over 90 minutes. Powerful, rich, elegant and complex, very clean, good minerality with a long finish. As always, truly delicious. Pernot is underrated
