January 16, 2024 - If you come across it, don’t miss it. Into its 28 th year and all there, gorgeous fruit, some sweet-but-salt tertiary excitement, structure and generosity in synch

I may explore other available vintages because this would be a ridiculous value.

June 15, 2022 - Tuscany Tasting + X (@Private location, Schwäbisch Gmünd): Quick notes for my own memory, no full tasting note, no rating.
Tasted blind. Classic Sangiovese, a bit past peak but still very nice. 90-91

December 29, 2021 - Served from a double magnum bought as a festive treat. Amazing aged-Bordeaux like nose of cassis, black cherry, leather, tobacco and some dried herbs. Bright, vibrant palate of red cherry and plum, tannins still present but very smooth, lovely acidity in balance with the fruit. Very persistent, warming finish of spiced plum, graphite and baked earth.

March 9, 2019 - PNP. Drinking well with fading acidity but with that great dusty cherry plum flavors that old VF wines possess. This wine can go at least another 5 years but will bring you great pleasure of you have it in bigger bottles.

September 22, 2018 - Dark fruit (cherry), earth, tobacco, dustiness. Good acidity. Nice spice. Lingering finish. Really enjoyable.
