April 27, 2024 - It is a mingling effect (Mingles , Seoul): By the glass as part of their signature pairing at Mingles , Seoul.
Dry smooth and elegant, red fruité, softest kiss of modernity here and works well. Polished fruit, well approachable even this young and with a harmony from palate to nose. Good 91 and with a good decade in it.

October 14, 2023 - In a weaker year for Brunello’s in general Fuligni has still managed to make an excellent Brunello. A very approachable and upfront nose tells you this will have a shorter life span than usual. Trademark nose with dried cherries, Italian species, cedar, with a slight lanolin note. Follows the nose with dried cherry, red fruit, cedar, dried herbs, and tobacco leaf. Pretty opulent with a long finish that lingers. Great acidity. Really tasty and I would advise drinking all your 2017 before ‘15 and ‘16.

April 10, 2023 - Bitter orange peel, thyme, redcurrant. Still shy but broachable with food. 90 mins in the decanter.

March 25, 2023 - 2017 Brunellos and other Italian wines: medium garnet in the glass and appreciable body. noticeable spice notes open the nose of plums and cherries with whiffs of lavender. quite open in the mouth, the ripe fruit flavours of cherry, blood orange and raspberry flow with an agreeable tartness and are supported by rather soft tannins. notes of licorice, star anise, wet rock provide accents and lead into a long finish that is slightly marred by some heat (14.5% AbV).

there is good concentration and balance that makes this enjoyable now and likely to go for a good handful of years.

March 17, 2023 - Pretty ripe for 2017- nose of dark cherry, raspberry and a hint of cassis. Medium + bodied, slight alcoholic. Oak present leding tot a little mokka finish.
