Community Tasting Notes 3

January 18, 2024 - Beautiful translucent color. The nose shows classy aromas of ripe strawberry, spices, flowers, pipe tobacco and saline minerals. This is medium full bodied on the palate with excellent concentration and excellent class. The fairly long finish features robust tannins and a saline note.

June 30, 2023 - Light crimson color. Earthy, strawberry, leather and rose. Still fairly high tannins certainly still very young. Really enjoyed this with food needs food to really shine. I got a couple more bottles happy to see how it develops.

May 12, 2022 - Compared to the other Barbarescos tasted today this is quite a bit burlier, more tannic, darker and deeper. I'd age this a bit more - at least 5 years and probably more before opening. Still, the nose is very pretty, full of flowers, cooking spices and red fruit. The palate is dark fruited, alluring and very well balanced. No harm would come from opening now with the right food to balance the tannins.
