Community Tasting Notes 3

April 19, 2024 - This deep garnet wine was decanted off of its sediment and then decanted through a Vinturi aerator. Fully opening after the second hour in carafe, it flaunts a bouquet of dried cherries, mulberries, clove, cocoa, rose petals and loam. Medium-bodied and with lively acids, it delivers flavors mirroring the aromas, adding notes of licorice and bay leaf. At this stage, the alcohol (14%), tannins and oak are nicely assimilated and the mid-palate is dense. Lengthy and energetic on the back end, this is an excellent Brunello that is just hitting its stride. It should reach its fifteenth birthday with grace. Serve it with food, preferably a tomato-based Italian dish. Drink now-2031.

July 6, 2023 - Missing it’s fruit notes. Very very dry, and almost too bitter
