August 20, 2022 - A classic and vivid Dolcetto, sort of a textbook version when it comes to the character and purity I look for in an authentic expression of this varietal. The 2021 shows its coolish and rather austere side in the youth, which melds with a beautiful tender cherry sweetness on the palate. Dark cherry, crushed blueberries, slate and hints of leather come together directly. This is such a beautiful Dolcetto and will benefit from like 1-2 more years in bottle. Vinified and aged in steel only.
