November 29, 2023 - So I bought a cellar; 11/12/2022-12/31/2030: Served blind at my Wednesday Wine Committee hosting. The tiny cork broke - had a plastic top and a T cork. Got it out with the Durand. Decanted for a couple of hours starting at 7 am, before bringing to the lunch. An amazing caramel nose and color on first pour and taste. A bit hot, but that blew off by the tasting. This ended up being served with a cheese plate, which paired perfectly. End of the lunch, so not very detailed notes, but reminded me of an older vintage colheita port. No idea how old this bottle was, but it was delicious.

September 26, 2022 - {cork} The old yellow label bottling, with all the Australian capital cities in a row along the label. So, twenty years in bottle? Anyway, level is good, and cork seems to have been fairly reliable. Golden brown colour. Beautiful nose of figs, honey and caramel. Lovely palate, of caramel carpet, honey, fig, hint of tea. Richly sweet, full-bodied, but with a grand acid spine to hold it all together. Long, rich, decadent finish. Grand stuff. If the level is good on these old bottling, don’t hesitate!

January 23, 2020 - Always as good and probably a better QPR than comparable portuguese tawny...I just wish it was slightly less raisiny.

November 16, 2019 - Sweet and jammy. Thick almost liqueur like.
Raisins and red/dark berries. Nice glass of wine but I don’t see the high praise other members gave this in previous notes. I prefer port any day.
