November 5, 2023 - Great fruit and lively core of acidity. It keeps getting better. Yellow apple and lemon zest in a great pairing.

July 30, 2023 - Third bottle from a half case purchased from a reputable German merchant in 2022. Not decanted. I really love the precision of the expression here. It is clearly from Meursault and it it clearly a 2020, marrying concentration with excellent freshness and tension. Aromas of flowers and salted lemon, hint of orchard fruit. Firm and structured, with well-integrated oak. Only the finish reveals its more modest terroir - it is a bit earthy and foursquare. Expertly made, still quite grippy and youthful, it will no doubt improve further over the next 1-2 years.

March 24, 2023 - Pop and pour. Simply delicious. Generous fruit, especially for a Meursault. Great energy and mouth feel. Serious QPR here. This is drinking well now but who knows if or when it will shut down.

February 6, 2023 - There seems to be confusion about this wine, as there are two entries for this wine on CT, one with the designation"Côte d'Or" and the other one without. Searching on the the internet, I found that there seem to be two different labels for the BB VV cuvée from JP Fichet - but having visited the Domaine's website too, I am satisfied that it is in fact the same wine. Since the label on my bottles mentions the words "Côte d'Or", I will reflect it here. From vines in the village of Meursault, but (just) outside the AOC. Les Pellands abuts Charmes-Dessous, but the 0.59 hectare plot in the northern section of this climat which is used for this wine is excluded from the AOC (unlike the southern section). The 0.34 hectare plot in Les Millerands is just east from the section of this climat which does have the benefit of the village classification. First bottle from a half case purchased from a reputable German merchant in 2022. Decanted for one hour to let the wine relax and integrate the oak. And yes, it is a very fine Bourgogne Blanc, which could easily be mistaken for a solid Meursault village. The location of the plots slightly lower on the slope is reflected in a more pronounced earthy note on the nose, but it exhibits flowers, gentle oak spice and ripe fruit too; the volume and purity of the juicy fruit on the palate are exemplary, and so are the freshness and minerally energy. Resonance and length are very good. Drink now - 2025+.
