January 15, 2023 - The wine looks caramel colored. The legs are medium. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. The body is full. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.

All in all it was an excellent Sauternes.

August 18, 2022 - Bottle in superb condition, great cork. Appropriate gold and amber color. Pronounced nose with candied orange peel, caramel, creme brulee, burnt sugar, grand marnier. However, palette was lacking complexity, fairly one noted with decent acidity, however not the ideal mouthwatering acid that really refreshes your palette on dessert wines. There was also a lack in balance as slightly astringent bitterness coming in the form of blackened sugar and orange pith, throwing off the delicate balance of an aged Sauternes. 88 pts for this showing, would recommend to drink now as the balance will only worsen.

    June 2, 2022 - From Chateau:

Beautiful nose, of burnt sugar and candied fruits.

But the mouth lack of complexity and depth. However, nice final with a saline touch.

April 17, 2022 - High shoulder fill, amber-caramel color. Nose is spot on for aged Sauternes. Wild honey, bit of botrytis, new shower curtain liner, dried apricots. On the palate, the wine has lost a lot of its obvious sweetness over the years. It has matured into a complex nectar. Good fruit braced by solid acidity that keeps the wine fresh despite its maturity. Citrus and a little tart peach. Bit of bitter pith on the finish. At this stage, this one is more for people who like a savory edge to their Sauternes - if you love these wines for a fat, sweet treat, this might not be the one for you. Excellent with a lemon cream dessert.

October 10, 2021 - Quite nice with notes of burnt sugar, creme brulee, hazelnut, grilled pineapple and zingy acidity. Interesting 1975 sauturnes that went great with apple pie.

Surprising amount of sediment that required this to be stood for several weeks before it could be opened.
