Community Tasting Notes 20

March 21, 2021 - Italian night; 3/21/2021-3/22/2021: Still rather austere and young. An elegant and feminine (for the lack of a better word) expression of Sangiovese, balanced by some savoury notes and a good backbone of acidity. Only quibble was a slightly hot finish. Liked this but was overshadowed by the first two wines for me.

March 21, 2021 - I got exactly the same flavors when I opened the bottle as the previous reviewer (BH) but I let it decant for about 3 hours and it turned into an elixir. Dried fruits and floral notes intermingling with a sweeter toned finish that seemed to go on forever. We blind tasted 9 wines and it is really difficult sometimes to remember much about the wines but this one was a clear winner of the night!

January 24, 2021 - Very meaty aromas on the nose, the mouth is very supple with a beautiful substance on gamey flavors. The balance is good, the acidity enhances the finish which remains intense for lack of length.

    Fine
