September 9, 2023 - Could this be a Russell Bevan wine?! Of course it is. Deeply colored with dark blackberry notes. Some nice earthiness to accompany the wonderful fruit. Clearly Sonoma Coast fruit flavors on steroids. Dark black fruit with some savory herbs and some spice. Burgundians flee…a big hedonistic winner from the man who churns out unabashed wines that take you captive and wrestle you to the ground. Some chocolate notes emerge with time in the glass. Wow!

August 23, 2023 - This is a cab lovers pinot. New french oak. Well integrated tannins. Just for fun I ask people to guess the grape. Nobody guesses Pinot. Love it. I'm on my 3rd case over the last 3 years.

January 2, 2023 - I sought this out as my local Total wine was out of the Bevan Pinot noir. Bevan makes two Pinots for Addax, I believe, and this is the Sonoma coast bottling. Beautiful wine, red and black fruits, bramble, scorched earth, hint of leather, pepper, plush tannins, cherry linger on the finish. Medium in weight, both richly fruited but elegant. Very satisfying.

October 15, 2022 - PNP. Very deep purplish magenta color. Raspberry, rice pudding, and campfire embers on the nose. Smooth, dry, plush palate. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish.

June 22, 2022 - This is a massive Pinot, made for Cab lovers. Meaty with good acidity. Tasted at OWC with Russell Bevan, he is a hoot.
